Cold Lake Laker trip - July 2017... love this lake!
« on: July 31, 2017, 09:53:06 AM »
July 29th -  Left the house at 0300 for a 3 hour drive to my favourite lake ( I like big water fishing )

The winds were down and the deep cool water of Cold lake was smooth... well in the early afternoon it was smooth... in the morning,  i actually had waves come over the bow for the first time in my PA.

I learned that a rubber net is the cats ass for securing fishes ( Last year i had a standard net and one fish took me over 15 min to get the hooks out of the net  >:( )

I learned that downrigging from my PA is awesome and super stable.

Very nice! My neighbors across the road from us here keep telling about the Cold Lake fish-- now I know it's not just stories!
